Re-establish High School Prom

When the month of February comes, all junior and senior high school student are so excited, what for? of course promenade. While other studs from further schools are dreadfully excited for the upcoming JS prom, other students are envy with it, why? they don't have this activity in school.
Attending prom is often rite of passage for juniors and seniors in high school. Students anticipate prom all year long. The question is, is prom indeed needed or not?
Schools' principal, the faculty members and even parents , sometimes  don't establish or re-establish prom in school. The reason is that they thought students or their children will go through sexual intercourse, or be drunk, parents sometimes give reasons that they don't have money to buy for something to ware, they believe that we'll  stay all night at someones house and not go home, students will be on accident because of driving drunk and other negative thoughts and some would think they might help in our locality because schools increasingly use prom to raise funds for local organization.
. Well not negative that much but, they are just concern which led them think of the negative outcome. With that, some school's even in our locality doesn't have any high school proms.
Students in the other hand is stating their opinions that they will not do this and promise that. Students even make it as one of their platforms for the school. The reason why students wanted to institute this activity? Some say "We are not the same with the past students who's not well disciplined," other says they wanted to have an experience, or to have leadership opportunities when the prom is successful, to feel the school spirit because prom can attract a range of students, including those who otherwise do not feel connected to the school through the usual extracurricular activities and to have rite of passage.
With the teachers, parents and students opinion, do we really need promenade for such reasons or forget it because it is expensive or we take disadvantages?

  1. Re-establishing high school promenade? “NO”. Well, considering the fact that it’s a little late to have a high school promenade we don’t even have enough funds to cover a simple party. Also, rushing will not be a good idea for it will cause us disappointment due to reasons that students are involved in violating curfew hour just because they are not contented with what is prepared.

  2. My answer would be yes because students like me want to "experience" prom. Actually the problem is not the negative outcomes of the prom but the problem is the students. Many but not all just want to enjoy the prom night. Some have bad intentions. Even if we are going to have a very expensive prom party if the students are not disciplined it is no use. The mistake of one affects all the others. Gets?

  3. Yes, we should have a prom. Why? It's because, as they say that is one of the most exciting part of being a high school student and I want to experience it. Going into a these party we must be disciplined to avoid those negative effects. It still depends on the person if he/she will put himself/herself into such trouble.

  4. Well, no because having a JS prom will just be a waste of time and money. Look at our school, I don't think that our school can even provide a place for a perfect promenade and even if it is a simple promenade, I don't think that our school can provide money for it.

  5. Yes, only when pessimists realize that prom is a special moment for teenagers to bond with each other and not to do something beyond what is right. As of now, I say no. Our community must first build up peace and safety.

  6. No. Even though we are in the modern generation, it is not appropriate to re-establish prom because their minds are contaminated with the modern style either. The present teens are lacking self-control and discipline.
